GLAS opens new Frankfurt office

GLAS has opened a new office in Frankfurt, Germany, located in the centre of the city's banking and finance district.

GLAS is a pioneer in the independent, non-bank loan agency and corporate trustee marketplace, with an experienced team of over 120 loan and bond market professionals. GLAS has a single, global platform with headquarters in London and additional offices in Paris, New York, New Jersey, Sydney and Brisbane. With managed assets amounting to over EUR 107 billion, GLAS is steadily expanding its market presence with this new European milestone. GLAS has added 40 people globally during 2020, all virtually, and continues to execute a vigorous expansion plan in 2021.

To support our current clients and expand our German portfolio, GLAS have hired Dr. Stefan Luthringshauser and Andreas Schraeder to continue to drive our German business nationally.

Dr Stefan Luthringshauser has joined Global Loan Agency Services in Frankfurt as its Managing Director. He is an experienced professional skilled in structured finance, risk management, transaction management, and asset management. Stefan has significant experience managing large portfolios of highly structured (syndicated/securitised) performing and non-performing loans covering commercial and residential real estate, infrastructure and renewable energy debt across multiple jurisdictions in Europe. Stefan has extensive work experience in managing the loan through its full lifecycle from due diligence and origination, through to debt restructurings and loan exits, including work out and insolvencies. Stefan holds a PhD in Corporate Finance (UK) and a post-graduate real estate degree as Immobilienökonom (EBS).

Andreas Schraeder has joined Global Loan Agency Services GmbH in Frankfurt as a Director. Andreas has over 25 years of experience in the financial and real estate industry, managing NPLs, distressed assets and loan workouts. He has held several diverse roles for private equity sponsors, investment companies, institutional investors, family offices and banks. Andreas is an experienced professional with proficient knowledge in managing complex asset, loan and bond structures under German law. He is specialised in asset sales/transactions, enforcement of loans and restructurings, property related debt solutions and the workout of securities including managing insolvencies of diverse asset classes.
