Makena Capital adds to Board of Directors

Makena Capital Management, a global endowment investment management firm overseeing more than USD20 billion of assets for clients worldwide, has appointed Pamela Peedin, a former CIO at Dartmouth College and Boston University, to the firm’s Board of Directors.

“Pam is a talented, proven investor with a wealth of experience in professional endowment management.  She will be a tremendous asset for our investment team and clients going forward,” says Luke Proskine, Managing Partner of Makena Capital. “We are very grateful and excited to welcome Pam to our team.  Our Board of Directors brings industry-defining skill sets and perspectives to our firm.  This group continues to push our team to innovate, adapt, and evolve our investment approach and work with clients in an increasingly challenging investment environment.”

A 25-year veteran of the endowment and foundation industry, Peedin brings extraordinary leadership and longstanding relationships. As CIO at Dartmouth College, Peedin spearheaded a team that delivered top-ranked annualised investment returns among college and university peers during her tenure (2011-2017). Prior to joining Dartmouth, Peedin’s leadership anchored the establishment of the Boston University Investment Office to professionalize the endowment management function at the University. Previously, she served as a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates focused on endowments and foundations.
“Makena Capital’s diligent client service, core investment principles and foundation at the highest levels of the endowment industry truly position the firm as a first-class organisation and a leading investment and advisory platform for global multi-generational investors,” says Peedin. “I’m excited to join Makena and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s ongoing success.”
