Norwegian pension fund Fellesordningen selects eVestment for asset manager selection and monitoring
Norwegian pension fund Fellesordningen for AFP has selected eVestment, a global institutional investment data and analytics provider, to help the organisation better select and monitor asset managers and to more efficiently manage the pension’s data collection and review processes.
Public pensions in 20 countries rely on eVestment to provide added transparency, rigor and technology to screening, selecting and monitoring their asset managers. With more than 4,000 asset managers from around the world reporting data to eVestment on more than 25,000 institutional strategies, eVestment offers a comprehensive look across the institutional landscape, at the universe, firm and strategy levels.
“Pensions increasingly need to find managers locally, regionally and around the world that can meet their return, risk and asset mix expectations and provide transparency in asset management selection and monitoring to their stakeholders,” says eVestment managing director of EMEA JP Quittot. “eVestment’s unmatched data and analytics tools provide pension executives with that power and transparency. We’re excited to add AFP to the number of pensions around the world who rely on eVestment to help them make the best decisions possible.”
“Finding and monitoring institutional asset managers locally and around the world is important to our success in serving our pensioners,” says senior portfolio manager of AFP Frode Veiby. “We are very excited to utilise the eVestment platform and know that eVestment has the breadth and depth in coverage and proprietary data and tools to make sure that we are able to identify the appropriate strategies for the management of the AFP fund.”
