Essentia analytics appoints CMO

Essentia Analytics (Essentia), a provider of behavioural data analytics and consulting for professional investors, has hired Doug Dundas as chief marketing officer (CMO).

Bringing more than 20 years of financial and marketing experience to Essentia, Dundas (pictured), is responsible for leading and streamlining the fintech firm’s global marketing and communications activities.
 
Before joining Essentia, Dundas held CMO roles at Octagon Asset Management, an investment firm that specializes in structured trade and commodity finance, and Marsh Inc., a professional services firm offering insurance broking and risk management.

Dundas came to Marsh in 2012 from Doug Dundas Communications, a boutique consultancy he launched in late 2007 specialising in the unique communications needs of financial services firms that serve institutional and high-net-worth clients. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, McGraw-Hill, Time Inc and ABC News.
