Investec hires for EM Corporate Debt team as demand for asset class grows

Investec Asset Management has added to its Emerging Market Fixed Income Team with the appointment of Juliet Lim, who joins as a senior investment specialist within the team, reporting to Victoria Harling, Portfolio Manager of the Investec EM Corporate Debt Strategy.

With a specific focus on global emerging market corporate debt within Investec’s established EM Fixed Income team, Lim’s hire underlines the firm’s commitment to further building capacity in this growing asset class.

Lim brings specialist expertise developed over more than a decade spanning the breadth of the emerging market credit asset class. She joins from Morgan Stanley Investment Management where she was a senior analyst in the Emerging Markets Corporate Fixed Income team, having played an integral role in building the five-year track record of the firm’s flagship corporate bond fund.

Victoria Harling, Portfolio Manager, Investec EM Corporate Debt Strategy, says: “Juliet’s expertise is ideally suited to further developing our investment capabilities in the area of emerging markets corporate debt. We’re continually looking to add investment expertise to our team to enable us to develop investment solutions as opportunities evolve in emerging markets, and enabling our clients to meet their investment objectives.”
