Cerulli projects European DC pension market to reach EUR2.8trn by 2015

Although Europe’s defined benefit (DB) plans still offer larger pools of stickier assets, DC pension assets are growing faster. Total European DC assets have risen past their 2007 levels to reach almost EUR1.6 trillion, or 39% of total European pension assets in 2009. Cerulli believes the drivers of growth in the DC pension market will give a CAGR of 10.8% over the next five years and push assets to EUR2.8 trillion by 2015. »
