Pensions Management Institute elects new Council
Kevin LeGrand of Buck Consultants bass been elected as a new vice president of the Council of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) while Jane Murray of Towers Watson has been elected as a new member of Council.
Vince Linnane, chief executive of the PMI, says: “In an unprecedented time of change for pension provision in the UK, the PMI must continue to evolve our thinking and strategy to help people make informed decisions about their retirement future. The experience and industry expertise that Kevin and Jane will bring to Council will be invaluable to the Institute in helping us drive our initiatives forward as we adapt to the various challenges in the employee benefits and retirement market.”
LeGrand is currently principal and head of pensions policy at Buck Consultants, a Xerox Company, and is also director of Buck’s professional trustee company. He has worked in the pensions industry for over 35 years, advising on technical issues.
Murray is managing director of technology and administration solutions business at Towers Watson. Her role involves UK responsibility for pensions and flexible benefits outsourcing, with responsibility for 700 associates focussing on their learning and development, professional excellence and communications.
Susan Smith stands down by rotation as vice president but will remain on Council until July 2015. Gerry Degaute will continue to serve as joint vice president for a second year until close of the AGM in 2015. Paul Couchman has been duly elected for a second one year term as president of the PMI.
