Macquarie appoints asset management head of distribution in EMEA
Macquarie Investment Management (MIM), the investment management arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Steve Haswell as head of distribution, EMEA.
Based in Munich, Haswell joins Macquarie from MFS Investment Management, a US money management firm, where he held various roles including head of global sales based in Boston and head of Continental Europe based in Munich.
He started his career at Siemens AG in Munich.
Scott Coleman, head of distribution and marketing at MIM, says: “Steve’s focus at MIM will be across all of EMEA, where we have significant momentum, and in markets we can further develop as we have a great opportunity to capitalise on our long-term investment performance and broad product offerings.”
Haswell says: “MIM’s broad range of investment strategies across equities, fixed income and currencies, alternatives and multi-assets is a great proposition for institutional investors and distributors across our core EMEA markets. I’m looking forward to being back to the region, building on the success of our current client base and securing new clients at a very exciting time for institutional investors in Europe.”
Haswell started his role at Macquarie on 30 June 2014.
