Dechert represents Northill Capital as it acquires majority interest in Longview Partners

Tue, 06/05/2014 - 06:01

Northill Capital is to acquire a majority interest in Longview Partners, a specialist asset management firm focused on global equities portfolio management based in London and Guernsey.

Jonathan Angell led Dechert’s London based team, which included Jason Butwick, David Gubbay, Jessica O'Gorman, Dan Hawthorne, Richard Heffner, Nathalie Sadler, Tamara Black and Jodie Valler-Feltham.

Northill’s investment in Longview is consistent with its approach to invest over the long-term in well managed, high quality, specialist asset management businesses.

Northill’s investment in Longview represents approximately 55 per cent of the firm’s equity.

Northill will buy out 100 per cent of the shareholding of Keith McDermott, chief executive officer of Longview Partners and co-founder, who retires on completion of the transaction, with the balance of the equity acquired from remaining shareholders including Ramzi Rishani, chief investment officer of Longview Partners and co-founder.
