Fri, 11/04/2014 - 13:48

Jupiter has appointed Martin Harris as head of institutional business, responsible for enhancing Jupiter’s institutional business strategy on a global basis.

Harris has joined Jupiter from Kames Capital where he worked for five years as head of distribution with responsibility for all aspects of raising capital and investor relations.

Prior to that, he was global head of investor relations and capital raising at CQS London, having previously worked for four years as managing director of Fidelity’s UK institutional business.

Simon Hynes, global head of distribution at Jupiter, says: “Historically our institutional distribution efforts have been focused on the UK but, as with mutual funds, our ambitions are global. We are delighted that someone of Martin’s calibre has joined Jupiter to drive these efforts.”

Harris says: “Jupiter has a very strong brand and I see significant opportunities for the company to grow its institutional business globally. I’m excited by the challenge of working with the Jupiter team to develop this business.”
