La Française has appointed emerging markets expert Guillaume Dhamelincourt as head of sales for Asia.
Dhamelincourt has extensive experience in Asian value equities from his time spent with JK Capital Management.
Before joining JK Capital Management in 2011, he was investment director at HSBC Specialist Investments in London (now InfraRed Capital Partners), the property and infrastructure private equity arm of HSBC.
Philippe Le Comte, CEO of La Française AM International and head of institutional development (France and international), says: “La Française is going further to expand its footprint in Asia. In 2010, we took a minority interest in JK Capital Management Ltd, a Hong Kong based asset management firm specialised in Asian value equities. And just four months ago, we signed a strategic partnership with Forum Partners, an independent global real estate investment management firm that has offices throughout the world and a significant presence in Asia. Guillaume’s appointment is coming at just the right time, as La Française is registering funds for local distribution. Guillaume, with his knowledge of real estate and securities, will play a crucial role in La Française’s international development plans and ultimately contribute to our success in penetrating the Asian market.”
Dhamelincourt will be working out of JK Capital Management headquarters located on Connaught Road Central in Hong Kong. As head of sales for Asia, he will continue to pursue development opportunities. His goal will be to expand business in Asia through third party institutional distribution networks and directly with institutional investors.
Dhamelincourt says: “I look forward to working with such a dynamic group, willing and capable to make the necessary investments to ensure successful international development. My previous experience in real estate should be of added value once we hit the Asian market with European direct real estate and global real estate securities funds.”
