Tikehau Group strengthens real estate and equity dedicated teams
The Tikehau Group has made senior appointments to both its real estate and equity teams.
The group’s real estate team will now be co-led by Frédéric Jariel and will be aiming to raise EUR250m of capital.
The company has already launched a first OPPCI (a French real estate dedicated fund) with commitments of EUR80m.
Jariel is a certified public accountant, having started his carrier as auditor for Coopers&Lybrand before joining Archon Group France – Goldman Sachs’ real estate subsidiary – in 1996.
Thomas Friedberger is joining the Tikehau Group to develop the company’s equity division, along with another new recruit, Vincent Mercadier.
Friedberger started his carrier in 1996 and has been working in trading since then. After four years spent in Milan and Paris at the Société Générale on the convertible bonds and derivatives market and one year at JP Morgan on the credit and rates markets, he has worked for 13 years at Goldman Sachs in the London, Paris and Milan offices on forex derivatives, convertible bonds and equity, index and funds derivatives. Before joining Tikehau IM, he was managing director in France and Benelux.
Mercadier started his carrier in New York in 2007 as analyst at La Fayette Management. In 2010, he joined Royal Capital Management – a NYC based fund – where he was part of the research team as equity analyst.
