SSgA appoints global head of consultant relations
State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation, has appointed of Susan Raynes to the newly created role of global head of consultant relations.
The appointment is part of broader plans at SSgA to expand client and consultant relationships through more targeted and value-added solutions.
Raynes will be responsible for SSgA’s consultant relationships globally. Based in Boston, Raynes will report to Kristi Mitchem, senior managing director and head of SSgA’s Americas institutional client group.
Mitchem says: “The rapidly evolving nature of the investment landscape means that the needs of our clients and their investment consultants are constantly changing and a global perspective is crucial. SSgA has a long history and presence worldwide across a wide range of asset classes and innovative investment solutions. We see global partnerships with consultants as central in the delivery of more targeted and value-added solutions and strategies.”
In her former role as head of SSgA UK, Middle East and Africa, Raynes was responsible for SSgA’s UK intermediary, defined contribution and defined benefit teams. Previously, she managed SSgA’s San Francisco office with a focus on some of the largest US consultants and public funds. Prior to joining SSgA in 1996, she was director of marketing at Cambridge Associates.
