Citi appoints chairman of Continental Europe for corporate and investment banking
Citi has appointed Luigi de Vecchi as chairman of Continental Europe for corporate and investment banking.
Before joining Citi, de Vecchi (pictured) was the global co-head of investment banking at Credit Suisse, a post he served in for three years.
Previously, he held a number of senior positions at Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Kleinwort Benson in Europe, the US and Brazil. He will be based in Italy.
Raymond J McGuire, global head of corporate and investment banking at Citi, says: "Luigi brings a wealth of experience along with a diverse network of relationships. Continental Europe remains one of our largest growth opportunities and we look forward to leveraging Luigi's deal experience and relationships across the region. Corporate and investment banking is one of Citi's key business lines and this appointment is a continuation of the commitment we have made to ensuring we have the best bankers serving our clients."
