Analytic Investors, a provider of quantitative investment solutions for institutional investors, has appointed Paul Runge, an asset management executive with 30 years of experience, as director of business development.
"Paul Runge is an outstanding addition to our business development team who understands the needs of institutional investors,” says Harin de Silva, president of Analytic Investors. “Paul’s experience working with pension funds and endowments will be especially valuable to meet growing demand from investors interested in world-class asset management.”
Runge is the second senior business development executive to join the firm in two months. In November, George Mathews, an asset management executive with 17 years of experience, was named head of business development. The two senior appointments follow the firm’s successful management buyout, which closed on 31 December 2012.
Prior to joining the firm, Runge worked at GE Asset Management, where he was responsible for institutional sales and key client relationships for public, corporate, endowments and foundation plans in the western US. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Mercer Investment Consulting, Provident Investment Counsel and BNP/Paribas.
“Analytic Investors is a firm with a global reputation for excellence and a proven track record for delivering risk-adjusted alpha across all asset classes,” says Runge. “As an independent, employee-owned firm, Analytic Investors has even more opportunity to build new relationships with individuals and institutions. I look forward to working with George and the entire team at Analytic Investors.”
