The Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee (CIFSC) has elected Brian Bridger, director, analytics and data at Fundata Canada, as its chair for the coming year, effective 1 January 2013.

The CIFSC is a volunteer organisation that oversees the fund industry’s classification standards.

"I would like to thank all of the members of the committee for their continued effort and entrusting me with this role. I would also like to thank Reid Baker for his hard work as chair for the past two years. I look forward to continuing our work of refining the standards to keep up with an ever-changing investment landscape,” says Bridger (pictured).

Reid Baker, manager, analytics and data at Fundata Canada will be vice-chair.
