KNG Securities expands fixed income team with two appointments

KNG Securities, the independent fixed income specialist, has appointed Alessandro Vargiu and Filippo Gromo to the firm’s fixed income team.

The announcement follows the appointment of Andrea Podesta as a managing partner and head of fixed income last month.

Vargiu and Gromo will play a key role in strengthening KNG’s fixed income offering, notably in the Italian markets.
Vargiu joins KNG having previously held positions at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse. He brings with him extensive experience, having worked on a wide range of transactions across the credit markets and structured products.
Gromo joins from BNP Paribas having spent seven years in its credit and structured rates sales team developing solid product expertise and strong relationships with financial institutions.
Podesta says: “We’re delighted that Alessandro and Filippo are joining KNG. They bring with them a wealth of industry experience and international expertise, and will play a key role in helping us grow both our product offering and geographic footprint, with a specific focus on Italy.
“As a business it’s an exciting time for us as we continue to see a growing number of clients favouring working with specialist firms like us who offer a more independent and client focused service. This shift provides significant opportunities for KNG. We’re hiring across the board to strengthen our team and ensure we’re well positioned to take advantage of the structural changes in the market.”
