Cavendish appoints Evans as director of portfolio management
Cavendish Asset Management has appointed Liz Evans as director of portfolio management with immediate effect, in addition to her existing role as fund manager of Cavendish’s Asia Pacific Fund.
Evans (pictured) has been with Cavendish since she entered fund management in 1987. Initially she worked as an analyst focussing on the UK and later global markets before taking over the internal Asia Pacific Fund which was then launched to the public in June 2009. In the three years to date her fund shows growth of some 40 per cent.
Julian Lewis, chief investment officer of Cavendish, says: “Liz has built up a wealth of knowledge and contacts over the years not just in the area of her fund but throughout the fund management sector.
“Her role will be to work with the other Cavendish fund managers in seeking to either improve performance or maintain good performance over a prolonged period. This will also involve working more closely with the four in-house investment analysts that Cavendish draws upon in delivering its ‘intelligent investing’ approach.
“She will continue to manage the Asia Pacific fund and working with the team will bring additional value to the management of all the Cavendish funds.”
