Intech appoints John Brown as head of global client development

Intech Investment Management has expanded its executive team with the addition of John Brown, senior vice president, head of global client development.

In this newly created role, Brown will lead Intech's client and consultant relations teams. He will be at the forefront of the firm's effort to further develop and communicate a cohesive, consistent message across all market segments.

In addition, he will work closely with Janus' distribution teams to create and implement a strategy for Intech's investment suite across all institutional and international distribution channels.

Working from its global headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida, Brown will focus on Intech's growth both domestically and internationally.

"As demand for risk-managed investment strategies that generate alpha increases from all parts of the world, John's experience and established network of relationships will help us ensure that our products are reaching the appropriate investor base and that we continue to provide the highest level of service to institutional clients and consultants," says Jennifer Young, chairman and chief executive officer of Intech.

Prior to joining Intech, Brown spent six years at Hartford Investment Management Company, where he served as a managing director on the sales, marketing and product development team.  Before that, he was with Fortis Investments in Boston, where he was an executive vice president and head of customer service and business development for North America.
