Janus Capital International, the international arm of Janus Capital Group, has appointed Matthew Nagele as head of the UK for Janus Capital’s European business.

Based at Janus Capital’s London office and reporting directly to Augustus Cheh, chief executive officer of Janus Capital International, Nagele will be responsible for leading the firm’s continued push into the UK and European institutional, wholesale and retail markets together with Nigel Austin, the firm’s chief operating officer of UK and EMEA.
 
Nagele comes to Janus from Castle Trust where he was managing director, distribution. Prior to Castle Trust, he was managing director, distribution at Old Mutual Asset Managers with overall responsibility of global distribution for retail, hedge funds and institutional businesses. He has over 10 years’ experience in the fund management industry.
 
“Matthew has a great breadth of experience in the fund management industry. His extensive relationship management skills, combined with his global industry knowledge, make him well suited to this role,” says Cheh.
