The Blackstone Group has appointed Jitesh Gadhia as a senior managing director in Blackstone Advisory Partners.
Gadhia was most recently managing director and head of advisory at Barclays Capital.
He will be based in Blackstone’s London office.
John Studzinski, global head of Blackstone Advisory Partners, says: “We are delighted that someone of Jitesh’s experience and reputation is joining us. Not only does Jitesh bring an extensive track record in UK and Europe, across multiple industry sectors, but he has also been at the forefront of developing cross border activity with emerging markets such as India, which are increasingly important for Blackstone. Jitesh will add to the strength of our existing platform and have the opportunity to develop our advisory presence in new markets.”
Gadhia adds: “I am excited to be joining Blackstone’s successful and growing advisory franchise. Blackstone’s powerful network of relationships, access to capital and expanding geographic reach, across developed and emerging markets, offers a unique proposition for clients.”
Gadhia has almost 20 years’ investment banking experience, having held senior positions at Barclays Capital, ABN Amro and Baring Brothers.
Gadhia serves as a trustee of the UK’s National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts and in 2008 was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
