Harris expands institutional market government banking team

Financial service organisation Harris has appointed Mark Mitrovich and Katie Aeschliman to the institutional market government banking team in the role of vice president and senior relationship manager.

The team, which is led by John Mattern, is focused specifically on serving the needs of large-scale government entities.

Mitrovich will be based in Chicago and focused on Cook County, and Aeschliman will be based in Indianapolis and focused on the state of Indiana.

The team also has six other offices. Four are in Illinois (in Chicago's South Suburbs, Barrington, Hinsdale and Naperville), one is in Milwaukee and one is in Northwest Indiana.

"Mark and Katie bring a wealth of experience, diverse backgrounds and a true understanding of the needs of our clients," says John Mattern, senior vice president, institutional markets. "Their reputations in government circles, and their previous experience working on the client side of the business, will strengthen our market position."

Mitrovich spent the last ten years in the City Treasurer's Office in the role of deputy city treasurer. He has a 30-year career of public service, working in a variety of capacities for the City of Chicago. Previous roles also include deputy comptroller in the Department of Finance and assistant commissioner in the Department of Water.

Aeschliman has held senior roles in both the public and private sector. Her most recent role was at KeyBank in Indianapolis, where as vice president and relationship manager, Indiana public sector, she focused on business development with tax-exempt clients across all areas of commercial banking, as well as capital markets. Prior to that, she worked for several years in the City of Indianapolis in both the Office of Corporation Counsel and the City Controller's Office.
