Roosevelt Investment Group adopts OCE’s Market Topographer platform

The Roosevelt Investment Group has adopted OCE Interactive's Market Topographer Web-based platform for researching, benchmarking and comparing the valuation of US stocks.

Roosevelt is an independent investment management firm with approximately USD5bn in assets under management for institutional and individual clients.  The contract value was not disclosed.

Market Topographer was designed to help institutional investors, advisers, bankers and analysts better understand how and why the market is systematically differentiating valuation across stocks and across time, and whether or not a stock's valuation can be substantiated with relevant historical precedents.

"We are very pleased that Roosevelt has chosen to deploy Market Topographer as a resource for its research-oriented investment process," says Jonathan Greenberg, president and chief executive of OCE Interactive.  "We built Market Topographer to enable Wall Streeters to more directly rationalise a company's valuation with the current and past experience of other companies. By bringing risk management more directly into the valuation process, we hope to help investors more thoroughly analyse the risk/reward trade-offs before making an investment."

"At Roosevelt, well-defined risk management principles guide our investment strategies through all market cycles," says Nainesh Shah, senior securities analyst at Roosevelt. "We have tested Market Topographer, and are excited about the prospects that it will be an extremely useful risk management tool to help support our overall strategy of identifying attractively priced investments with an appropriate combination of risk and return potential."

The platform's interactive tool sets offer users three benchmarking techniques to gain a perspective on the valuation of any particular stock. These are comparison of the future growth expectations priced into a stock with relevant historical precedents; evaluation of the impact of market conditions on a stock's price; and direct comparison of the profile and valuation of a stock with other stocks, currently, historically and across time.
