Markets have staged a convincing recovery from the ten per cent correction seen in January, according to research by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Fears on sovereign risk contagion are easing, at least temporarily, and despite weather effects the underlying tone of economic reports looks to be positive.

However, investor risk appetite remains subdued and there is a strong sense of investors sitting on their hands waiting and watching for clearer signals and resulting sector leadership.
