Cavendish appoints Tyrone Long as sales manager

Cavendish Asset Management has appointed Tyrone Long as sales manager as part of its ongoing expansion programme in the retail market.

The appointment comes in the wake of a period of intense activity for the boutique investment company, which last year launched five new funds covering North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Japan, and technology.

Long brings over five years of financial service sales management experience to the role, having spent three years at Mitonoptimal Asset Management in the role of sales manager for London and the South East, before spending two years as sales manager with MLC Investment Management.

His role at Cavendish will be to head the sales drive for the new funds across the UK, and promote Cavendish’s longer standing retail offering, which encompasses the flagship Cavendish Worldwide Fund, Cavendish Opportunities Fund, and Cavendish AIM Fund.

Long says: “Cavendish is a determined boutique at an exciting point in its history as it underlines its commitment to the retail market. The range of new funds in particular offer an  excellent opportunity to reach out to a wider audience with simple, geographic and sector-based funds that appeal to the transparent investments that the market wants.”

Cronan MacMahon, head of sales and marketing at Cavendish Asset Management, adds: “Tyrone is a superb addition to the Cavendish team, with the proven ability to deliver an effective sales strategy. Cavendish’s strong track-record in growing new funds, alongside the continuing global economic recovery and resurgence in equity investment, should provide the ideal climate for Tyrone and a compelling proposition for investors seeking simple, long-term value investments they can trust.”
